IIR Middle East, the organisers of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi, has handed over a cheque for AED30,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, the official charity of the event.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an international organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, whether it is a trip to a location they have always dreamed of or meeting their favorite celebrity.
The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is continuing its support of the charity which is responsible for securing its own funding; the amount of money raised determines the number of wishes granted.
“Granting the wish of a sick child lifts their spirits and brings them happiness in what can be very bleak times,” said Daphne Cota, Exhibition Manager for The Bride Show. “We are delighted to help these children by giving them the hope, strength and joy that comes from having a dream come true. We believe this is an important cause and one that our exhibitors and visitors share in our dedication.”
Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif, wife of H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is the official patron of the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE and officially inaugurated The Bride Show Abu Dhabi earlier this week.
The final day of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi was the busiest yet, with visitors flocking to see the announcement of the winner of the Swarovski Abaya Design Award as well as the latest collections from Beenas Collection, Ghanati Couture andRahmanian Haute Couture on the catwalk.
