After the success of Aruni Rajapakse, Miss Sri Lanka 2007, at the Miss International 2007 Pageant held in Tokyo, Japan, there is a new wave of excitement among the Sri Lankan hotties.
Entries are being filed for the Miss Sri Lanka 2008 pageant to be held on March 23 at Colombo Hilton. The event will be jointly organized by the International Association of Lions Club Dstrict 306C1 and Images Studio. Funds raised from this program will be directed towards the Sight First project of the Lions.
It will be a jackpot for the winner this year since she will be given an opportunity to take part in the Miss International pageant in Japan and the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant in China.
If all the conditions for participating in the contest are met by the candidates, it can turn out to be a major break for the lucky Sri Lankan model who will be showered with all the attention and fame that accompanies the success.
