Retailer Saks Incorporated announced that Vince Corno will join the Company on February 4, 2008 as Senior Vice President of Real Estate.
Corno is an attorney with extensive real estate experience. Since May 2006, he served as Vice President of Development for Forest City Enterprises, Inc., a $10 billion publicly-traded real estate company engaged in the ownership, development, acquisition, and management of commercial and residential real estate throughout the United States.
From 1998 to April 2006, Corno served in several real estate positions of increasing responsibility with The May Department Stores Company, including the post of Senior Vice President of May Realty Inc.
He holds his Certified Public Accountant certificate and gained previous accounting experience with Price Waterhouse and Ralston Purina Company. Corno received both his B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) and his law degree from St. Louis University.
In his role as Senior Vice President of Real Estate, Corno will be responsible for overseeing all real estate matters for Saks Fifth Avenue and Off 5th, including new store development, expansions, and remodels.
Corno will report to Kevin Wills, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. Wills noted, "We are pleased to have someone of Vince's caliber and background to handle this important area at Saks, especially as we continue our expansion and remodel program at Saks Fifth Avenue and as we further develop our growth strategy for Off 5th."
