Looks like Devean George will be around for a little longer...
The agent for Devean George said this morning that the 6-8 swingman has exercised his player option to remain with the Mavericks for next season.
That means George will be under contract for 2009-10 for $1.6 million.
That doesn't necessarily mean he will be on the roster come October. He remains a valuable trade chip if his salary is needed to make the numbers match up on any future deals.
Please Cuban, trade this guy. He brings nothing to this team. It is time to part ways with the Stackhouse and George’s of the NBA world.
