Film Independant Spirit Awards 2011 - Full List Of Nominations

The nominations are in for the Film Independant Spirit Awards and we can't be more excited for awards season to kick in! The concept behind the Spirit Awards are for movies that produced less than $ 20 million turnover - so, big shot motion pitctures will not be nominated at the awards.
The awards ceremony will take place on February 26 with host Joel McHale. Herewith the full list of nominations....

Sixteen TCU football players have been named All-Mountain West Conference with quarterback Andy Dalton, linebacker Tank Carder and return specialist Jeremy Kerley receiving Player of the Year accolades.
Dalton is just the second player in league history to be a two-time MWC Offensive Player of the Year. He is also the first Horned Frog to be a back-to-back conference offensive player of the year since LaDainian Tomlinson (1999-00).
Carder is the third straight Horned Frog to be named the MWC Defensive Player of the Year. Former TCU All-America defensive end Jerry Hughes was the recipient the last two years.
Kerley is the second player in MWC history to earn Special Teams Player of the Year accolades on multiple occasions. He was also last year's recipient.
The Horned Frogs topped the MWC with nine first-team selections, matching a league record shared by last year's TCU squad and the 2000 Colorado State Rams.
TCU led the league in all-conference selections (17) for the fifth time in its six seasons of MWC play.

Oh yea, those are lips and they happen to be mine. Yes, this is what I woke up to this morning. I look like I was punched repeatedly or that I got really bad collegian injections on only one side of my lips, or both of those options.
It's true, I look hideous... and if that alone isn't bad enough a bum outside my campus library who smelled of his own feces told me; "Oh sweetie, if he hits you, he isn't worth staying with." awesome advice, I will make sure to take that into account.

Andy Dalton Manning Award Finalist/Tank Carder AFCA All-American

As college football awards and honors continue to be announced, you will notice that TCU is being very well represented. Last week Tejay Johnson was named a finalist for the Thorpe Award, Andy Dalton was named a finalist for the Unitas Award, and Gary Patterson is a finalist for the Eddie Robinson award. Yesterday it was announced that Andy Dalton is also a finalist for the Manning Award, presented to the nation's top quarterback and Tank Carder was named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team.
Andy Dalton Tabbed a Manning Award Finalist
TCU's Andy Dalton has been announced as a finalist for the Manning Award, presented to the nation's top quarterback.
It's the second straight year Dalton has been a finalist for the Manning Award. He is also a 2010 finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, given to the nation's top senior quarterback.
Dalton is the nation's leader in wins by an active quarterback with 41. He has led TCU to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons and three straight top-10 rankings. The Horned Frogs are third in the BCS standings.
Dalton, who ranks fifth in the nation with a 167.03 pass efficiency rating, has thrown for a TCU single-season record 26 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He is on pace to set a new Horned Frog mark with a career-best 66.2 completion percentage.
Tank Carder Named AFCA All-American
TCU linebacker Tank Carder has been named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America team.
A junior from Sweeny, Texas, Carder is among the TCU leaders with 54 tackles, including 6 1/2 for loss. He has 2 1/2 sacks. Carder is tied for second on the Horned Frogs with five pass breakups while adding an interception and fumble recovery.
Carder is one of the anchors of a Horned Frog defense that leads the nation in total defense (215.4 yards) for a third consecutive season. TCU would become just the third school in NCAA history to lead the nation in total defense in three consecutive years (Toledo, 1969-71; Oklahoma, 1985-87).
