Well, if reports are correct then it looks like Ricky Rubio will be staying in Spain.

From RealGM.com

Ricky Rubio, the 5th pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in this year's draft, has agreed to terms on a contract with Regal Barcelona.

The Spanish team will pay a buyout of 3.7 million Euros, approximately $5.3 million, to Rubio's previous team, Joventut.

Rubio will sign a six-year agreement that contains an affordable buyout in 2011.

Although, ESPN.com says no deal or agreement has been completed yet

"Based on the information I have attained today, no team in any league has reached a deal with DKV Joventut concerning Ricky's buyout, which must be accomplished before Ricky is released from his contract with DKV Joventut," Kahn said in a statement released by the Wolves early Wednesday afternoon.

Even if things haven’t been finalized yet, it looks like Rubio will be staying in Spain, at least for a couple years. This is disappointing because I was really looking forward to seeing Rubio play in the NBA against top talent. I had been hyping him for a few months and now we will have to continue to wait. (Unless you can find Spanish basketball on a random internet feed somewhere)

Can you really blame him though? He gets to continue playing basketball in his home country and doesn’t have to live in Minnesota. Would you want to live in Minnesota at that age? I wouldn’t want to live there at any age!

BallHype: hype it up!

Brandon Jennings was asked by the Sacramento media about Spanish guard Ricky Rubio and how he compares.

Jennings: Well, put it like this: If he was in a workout with me, Jonny Flynn, Jrue Holiday, Ty Lawson, Stephen Curry, he wouldn’t even probably be at the top.

Reporter: You think he’s all hype?

Jennings: Yeah.

Reporter: Because?

Jennings: Because he played in the Olympics, he been playing pro ball since he been 14, so you know, there it is right there.

So he is all hype because he has played in the Olympics and has been playing pro ball since 14? To me, that would be called backing up the hype. Rubio was out there balling with grown men while Jennings was still playing with freshman in high school.

Brandon Jennings is just mad because nobody cares about him, and he had a mediocre season playing in Europe. Rubio is going to be an All-Star.

Ok, let’s get your weekend kicked off right.

- My man Ricky Rubio isn’t too excited to play for Memphis or OKC

"Rubio doesn't want to go to Memphis, and he especially does not want to pay money out of his own pocket with that huge buyout for the honor of doing so. Fegan [Rubio's agent] wants him in L.A., and if he can't have him there, he wants him in Sacramento. Definitely not Oklahoma City. "

Honestly, can you blame the guy? I wouldn’t want to work in Memphis or Oklahoma City. On the other hand, if they were paying me millions of dollars, I could probably make it work.

- The NFL seems to have a problem with drinking and driving.

Tracking arrests involving NFL players since 2000, a study by the San Diego Union-Tribune published last month found that 28 percent of the incidents – by far the highest percentage – were related to drunken driving. At least 73 players on NFL rosters during the 2008 season have been arrested on charges of driving under the influence, according to a search of published reports by Yahoo! Sports.

There is really no excuse for people with that much money getting D.W.I.’s. I know you can pay your friend a couple hundred dollars not to drink that night.

- Notre Dame wants to play in the new Yankees Stadium…Great!! The second most annoying, overrated team will get to play in the home of the most annoying and overrated team.

Jack Swarbrick, Notre Dame's athletic director, said the Yankees were open to having college football at the new Stadium, and he would like the Fighting Irish to be the first team to play there. Swarbrick stressed that no dates had been discussed.

Aren’t these tools already playing at Cowboys Stadium? Are they just going to have every game at a different stadium?

- The Cowboys are thinking about trading or cutting Greg Ellis. THANK YOU!

Ellis did not take part in Thursday's organized team activity workout at Standridge Stadium as the Cowboys consider the possibility of trading or releasing the veteran linebacker, according to multiple sources.

Does anyone whine as much as this guy?
