Okay… as reported 16 November, Price William announced his engagement to on-off girlfriend, Kate Middleton… Apart from the millions of hearts broken, the question remains – who is Kate Middleton and how does she fit into the princess-perfect picture? Well don’t despair friends, the GLD is ready to dish it all…

Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born 9 January 1982 in Reading , Bershire in England St Andrews , Pangbourne. She then attended the University of St Andrews
When it became public knowledge of her relationship with Prince William the media went fanatic and Kate were literally harassed wherever she went. It got so bad that she eventually consulted with her lawyers concerning the media frenzy and they threatened to take legal action – which eventually led to her own 24-hour security funded by the Royalty and Protection Department.

During this period it was reported that Kate worked as an assistant accessories buyer with clothing company, Jigsaw – however her interest quickly moved from fashion to photography. There were reports making rounds that she was taking photography classes with the legendary international photographer, Mario Testino but the rumours were denied by the man himself.
On 16 November Clarence House announced the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton… and the world went nuts! According to reports, the Prince asked Kate for her hand in marriage during a 10-day vacation in Kenya Kenya
Did you know that should William receive the dukedom title upon marrying Kate – she will receive the title as duchess and addressed as Her Royal Highness? If not given the dukedom title, Kate will be addressed as Her Royal Highness Princess William of Wales
First public appearance since the engagement... so sweet!
Lastly, should William become the King of England – Kate Middleton will succeed her husband as Queen. How amazing is that for someone that comes from a background which is considered middle-class to the future queen of England
We also want a royal title, His Royal Highness Gene Luke – emperor of all things fabulousity… and we want a tiara, and a sash and golden wand thingy.
The paparazzi will love us… and we will love them in return.
