Lady GaGa's "Judas" music video has been teased in an official still and TV spot. The picture, posted on Twitter, depicts the Monster ringleader roaming the street with her motorcycle gang. The TV spot, meanwhile, gives a closer look at GaGa portraying Mary Magdalene wearing a leather jacket and headband.
The music video, which will feature Norman Reedus as Judas, is co-directed by GaGa and her choreographer Laurieann Gibson. It's going to premiere uncut on E! News this coming Thursday, May 5 at 7/6c and at 11:30/10c. "Motorcycle Fellini PopArt FantasyFilm + Haus Directorial Debut," the outlandish singer confirmed it onTwitter .
Last month, it was announced by Interscope that the music video, which reportedly has 10 million budget, was going to make its way out on "American Idol". However, now neither GaGa nor her camp mentions anything about it, prompting speculation that they have scrapped the original plan.
Lady GaGa has visited "Idol" each year since 2009, but her last year gig on the show didn't end well. She was furious when her "Bad Romance/Alejandro" performance on the singing competition was edited by FOX. She blasted the TV channel back then, "FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited+cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol. ... Fox chopped up my performance in 4 places."
"Judas" is lifted from Lady GaGa's new studio album "Born This Way" which is due in the U.S. on May 23. Tracklisting for both standard and special edition has also been revealed. The standard package lists fourteen tracks, and the special version has five additional remixes.
