Rihanna is still busy promoting her debut signature scent, Reb'l Fleur, but she has already worked on a second one. On Tuesday, May 3, the "California King Bed" singer made use of her Twitter to make the announcement. "I'm already started on fragrance #2 an extension of #RebLFleur," so she tweeted.
In the same posting, the Barbadian singer revealed that she got a positive response when she wore a sample of the new fragrance to the Costume Institute Gala event held at NewYork City's Metropolitan Museum of Art last Monday night, May 2. She wrote, "Wore the sample lastnight and all the fly girls wanted some #Yummy".
Attending the star-studded MET Ball, the 23-year-old looked stunning in a black lace Stella McCartney dress. She completed her look with Wilfredo Rosado jewels that included emerald and black gold "Double Cog" earrings. After the bash, shetweeted , "Alexander McQueen is a legend!!! So sad he couldn't be there lastnight to witness an amazing tribute and exhibition!!!"
Riri's Reb'l Fleur has begun rolling into department stores in February. Priced at $49 for a 1.7 oz. bottle, the fragrance has a variety of scents including ripe fruits and sumptuous florals, as well as a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber. Its name is inspired by Rebel Flower, the name used by the singer's grandmother to call her.
Of the scent, the "Only Girl (In the World)" hitmaker said, "Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own. But I wanted something that said 'Rihanna was here.' Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory."
