Unless you have been living under a rock, you should know by now that the Pittsburgh Steelers will be staying in Ft. Worth, and practicing at TCU for Super Bowl XLV. It is a disappointment that the Jets and LaDainian Tomlinson won’t be making the trip, but TCU and Ft. Worth welcome the Steelers with open arms.
Pittsburgh fans are getting the better end of this deal by far. The team is staying at the Omni in downtown Ft. Worth, which means that will be ground zero for Steelers nation. Ft. Worth will be a lot more entertaining than Dallas or Arlington if you are looking for a true Texas experience. Plus, ESPN is broadcasting from Ft. Worth, so you have that attraction as well.
With Sundance Square, the cultural district, and the Stockyards, there should be plenty for you to do and see. There isn’t a whole lot to see in Arlington besides Cowboys Stadium and the Ballpark. Dallas is just like any other big city you have ever been to.
I am looking forward to seeing what Super Bowl week is all about. I am sure the traffic will be ridiculous. I leave you with this question, if someone gave you 2 free tickets to the Super Bowl, would you go to the game, or would you sell them? I would sell them.
