I’m bored, the Mavs are back to being uninteresting, and TCU football news is slow right now. That means it’s time to introduce Angry Trey’s Best Beard in Sports Power Rankings...Only two stipulations: 1) You must be currently participating in sports. No retiree’s or dead guys. 2) Must be full beard, none of this mustache nonsense.

1. Baron Davis

Could it be any more obvious? Hands down the best beard in sports. It will be hard to overtake B. Diddy.

2. Kimbo Slice

I don’t know really know what Kimbo has going on, but he is fighting somebody, somewhere, right now, so that means he qualifies for the #2 spot.

3. Brian Wilson

The man’s beard took the world by storm during the MLB playoffs. Enough said.

4. Ben Roethlisberger

Fresh off another AFC Championship. When someone wins that much, they have to be high in rankings.

5. O.J. Mayo

Beard looking like it was painted on his face.

6. Brett Keisel

Look at that beard! It is epic. I might have this one ranked way too low!

7. David Ortiz

Always creative with his beard game.

8. Braylon Edwards

No comment, just liked it…

9. Randy Moss

His beard fits his attitude. It comes across as I just don’t give a damn.

10. Ricky Williams

Ricky’s beard makes him look homeless. The huge holes in it are terrible. I think a squirrel and two birds live in it. None the less, I couldn’t leave him off the list.

Congrats to the Texas Rangers for advancing to the World Series. As you know, I am not a fan of theirs or baseball, but I honestly never thought I would see them succeed. They have been so bad for so long that it’s hard to come to reality with how good they are this season.

I have been going to Rangers games with my Dad since the days at the old Arlington Stadium. I’ve been to numerous games at the Ballpark also, mainly to see the opposing players like Ken Griffey Jr., Frank Thomas, Manny Ramirez, etc…and they have always just been bad for the most part.

I was at one of the playoff games in 1996 and went to Game 1 of the ALCS this year. They haven’t been able to pull me in as a fan, but I am happy for all the true Ranger fans that have stuck with the team for so long. I know a lot of people have wanted this for a long time, and it’s cool to actually see this team succeed.

I hope the Giants win the NLCS because I really like Tim Lincecum and would like to see a Lincecum/Cliff Lee matchup in Game 1.

Now, can we get back to TCU Football? Or how about the Mavs? They start later this week. At least the Rangers closed it out tonight and there isn’t a game 7 tomorrow to take away from the sold out TCU game.

I thought these TV number from last night were interesting. It just goes to show that MLB does not draw the interest that it used to back in the day. It is no longer America's Pastime.

Last night’s Monday Night Football game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans outrated Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers (7.2 to 6.5).

The Rangers/Yankees game wasn’t even going up against a good NFL game. The Titans and Jaguars are terrible and the game was never close. Plus, you would think a playoff game would out draw a regular season game. I don’t know how much one being on ESPN and one being on TBS played a factor.

This is a day I always dread. This day starts what is the longest, most boring sports season in all of sports...Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season.

I will never get peoples fascination with baseball. If you like playing it, that is one thing, but I just don’t see how people sit down and watch a baseball game. It is the slowest, longest, most boring, most drawn out thing I have ever seen. Hey, let me sit around while it takes you 15 minutes to walk from the bullpen, then throw 35 warm up pitches. Weren’t you just warming up in the bullpen?

I also HATE that there is no time limit. Yes, they have nine innings, but those nine innings could take two hours or six days. You never know.

Add in the fact that it’s the most individualistic team sport there is, and my interest level drops way below zero.

I’ve been saying that this is THE worse day in sports, but it can be debatable. Another terrible day in sports is when the NBA and NHL seasons are over and it’s just baseball all..summer…longggg…. There are no other sports going on so it is all you see on SportsCenter and they run that damn Baseball Tonight show all the time. I CAN’T HANDLE IT!!
