Wow, it's really been so long since we reviewed something!
There are so many concerts -some really good ones- that we should have reviewed but haven't. -__-
Oh well, tomorrow is the official release date for the 'Berryz Koubou Festival ~Yokoso Otakebi Land e~ Live DVD' which features footage from their 6th album release event held at Yomiuri Land Open Theater EAST on 18 April 2010.
I was actually meant to blog this a couple days ago when the concert was still fresh in my brain. I hope I still remember what I was thinking while I was watching it.
Banana A. Banana B!?
OPENING
Eeeeeeeeeeee~~
1. Happiness ~Koufuku Kangei!~
Uuuggh, probably my most unfavourite Berryz single, just because of the line 'We welcome this happiness tonight.' It REALLY annoys me. But it's funny to see Berryz dance to this song now because it's such a kiddy dance, and hearing it with all their deep man voices now. Especially Risako. LOL.
2. Rival
Ahh, that's better. Yay! You know, I never noticed the harmonies in this song... You know, when just two people are singing. I think it was most apparent when it was Captain and Maasa? But you nenver know, it could just be the backing track playing with my ears.
MC1
It's always interesting to hear how much the crowd cheers for each member.
I think Momo won this time, and LOL at the girls who always shout "Miii-Yaaaa"at every event.
3. Sprinter! (Captian solo)
"WAOoo! WOOoo!" Captain overdid it a little with the WAO's and WOO's. But other than that this performance was fine...
Captain has fallen from grace a little in my brain recently. I had a dream about her and she kept yelling at Momoko for some reason (random, i know) but yeah... She's dropped in my ranking. I like her ring though :)
4. Koi wa Happaridako (Chinami solo)
"YAAAAY!!" I see a pattern forming here...
Chinami always sounds like a kid when she sings, so I guess this was a good song for her.
5. 21ji Made no Cinderella (Momoko solo)
I dont know why Momo mouthed the "Yooo! Daladala!" when she clearly wasn't singing it. LOL. Anyway, YAY! MOMO! This used to be one of my favourite Berryz songs to sing!! :D
6. Waracchaou yo BOYFRIEND (Kumai-chan solo)
I was worried for Kumai-chan when I heard this song start, this song has some annoying high parts, but luckily she was pretty good and the backing track covered for her a little. I don't think I can ever like Kumai-chan's singing voice though.
MC2 (Kumai-chan, Captain, Momo, Chinami)
7. Ground Demo Rouka Demo Medatsu Kimi (Maasa & Yurina)
Yay! Our first new song performance!!
ZOMMMGGG!! The dance for this song is SO AWESOME!! IT'S ALL SUPERHERO POSES!! LOLOL XD
The Maasa verse still kicks Kumai-chan's verse's butt. Oh and Maasa is chubby again :( she was looking really good! WHY!?
I like this picture though!
8. Yakimochi o Kudasai! (Captain, Chinami & Risako)
Contrarily this dance was SUPER BORING. Just the three of them going around in a triangle formation. I was kind of disappointed after watching Maasa and Kumai-chan's epic superhero dance. Risako also cain's both these girls with her deep voice.
9. Ai ni wa Ai Desho (Momoko & Miyabi)
YAY! My two favourite Berryz! I love how Momoko can change her expressions. This performance was awesome, but what do you expect from these two :P
That last high note was a little iffy though.
MC3 (Momoko & Miyabi)
10. TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY (Miyabi solo)
I wish Miya would choose a more challenging song. She's has really accurate pitch and I love how her voice has grown. Although that 'waah-ooh' at the end was really off. Something similar happened in the last Berryz concert too.
11. Sakura wa Rakusa (Maasa solo)
Eww, I don't like this song. Maasa is okay though.
12. VERY BEAUTY (Risako solo)
ZOMG, Risako was really amazing at the start of this song, but she kind of lost me at the end of the chorus. He high notes freak me out sometimes. She is better at her manly MADAYADE and things.
MC4
13. Dakishimete Dakishimete
I like how they used the blur effect and cropped stuff out to make it look like the 'Dakishimete Dakishimete' PV. It's been a while since I listened to his song! "HOO! HOO!"
14. Seishun Bus Guide
I wonder if their arms ever get tired from fist pumping the air.
15. Ryuusei Boy
I love the Ryuusei Boy pose. It's so lol. But they cut out my favourite part!! We didn't get to see the one at the end where they do it upside down. The camera was too busy focusing on Risako.
16. Otakebi Boy WAO!
Risako's tongue rolls... so manly. (Wow, I wonder how many times I've called her many this review? lol)
MC5
17. Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda!
Last number! Is this the first time we've seen this song performed live?
AWESOME.

Overall Impression:
I haven't watched Berryz Koubou perform at Yumiuri Land before, so this was really fun to watch! We got to see a lot of new song performances and solos too (which are always my favourite.) I think I had a lot more to say about this before... Uhh, should really start better blogging habits. Did anyone else notice the wota in a Stitch jumpsuit? LOL. Anyways, highlights were probably Maasa & Kumai-chan's superhero dance. I really wasn't expecting that. It was so funny! I was a little disappointed we didn't get to hear 'Kimi no Tomodachi' since it's my favourite new album song. But other than that, it was pretty good! :)
