The TCU football team will be welcoming back 27 seniors to its 2010 roster. That is good for second in the NCAA behind Hawaii who has 30. That means this Horned Frog team brings back a lot of experience from a squad who just made a run to the Fiesta Bowl last season.
From TCU Media Relations:
TCU's 27 seniors this season more than double the 13 it had last year when it posted a 12-1 record, number 6 national ranking and its first BCS appearance with a trip to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
The 2010 Horned Frogs return 16 starters from last year's squad, including four-year starter Andy Dalton at quarterback. Dalton is the nation's leader in wins (29) among active signal callers.
TCU welcomes back 13 players who were All-Mountain West Conference last season. That total includes three All-Americans in Dalton, return specialist Jeremy Kerley and center Jake Kirkpatrick.
Most Seniors on 2010 Roster
1. Hawaii - 30
2. TCU - 27
2. Louisville- 27
4. Army- 26
4. Iowa- 26
4. UTEP- 26

I don’t think you can overvalue how important senior leadership is for a team. The experience will be key this season and with so many players returning with lots of playing time under their belt, there shouldn’t be many situations on the field that catch them off guard.
On the down side in 2011 it means there will be a lot of fresh faces on the field looking to gain the experience that this group of seniors posses now. We will worry about that down the road though. We still have this season to enjoy.
