The Horned Frogs are the first unanimous selection in the 12-year history of the league. TCU garnered all 31 first-place votes and earned a total of 279 points.

In voting done by the league media, quarterback Andy Dalton was named Preseason MWC Offensive Player of the Year, linebacker Tank Carder was selected as Defensive Player of the Year and punt/kick returner Jeremy Kerley was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Year.
From TCU Media Relations:
In addition to being selected for major awards, Dalton, Carder and Kerley also were among a league-best group of eight Horned Frogs named to the preseason all-conference squad. Dalton and Kerley were two of only three unanimous selections along with BYU offensive lineman Matt Reynolds.
Five other Frogs were also named Preseason All-MWC, including Marcus Cannon (OL), Wayne Daniels (DL), Ross Evans (PK), Cory Grant (DL) and Jake Kirkpatrick (OL).
