Colombian pop singer Shakira recently revealed in Morocco that she is interested in recording an album in Arabic.
"It would be a challenge to do an album in Arabic. I would first have to learn Arabic," she said. "I am completely open to that experience. ... At some point I would love that to happen in my life."
Born in Colombia of Syrian origin, Shakira said she grew up listening to the Arab world's premier divas of the 20th century, Egyptian Umm Kalthum and Lebanese Fairuz, reports the Gulf News.
The native Spanish speaker also admitted that she only speaks a few words of Arabic, including ateeni boosa or give me a kiss, provoking laughter among the mostly Moroccan crowd of journalists.

Okay, so last night the MTV European Music Awards took place in Madrid, Spain… and honestly, it was soooo boring and we almost died.

The highlight of the evening was probably the gorgeous host, Eva Longoria (the silly girl forgot her designer's surname on the red carpet) our favourite orange-icon, Snooki who was stunningly dressed, for once we might add and last of all, Shakira opening the award ceremony with Waka Waka!

Gorgeous host, Eva Longoria! She had more outfit and haistyle changes
than Lady Gaga on a "good" day!

Ke$ha took the first award as Best New Artist and she was one big scorching mess. OMG, this girl was either too drunk to function or very slow, she could barely keep her composure. She reminded us a bit of late Anna Nicole Smith, remember that award appearance when she slurred the words “make me a beauuuutttifuulll deut!!!” I guess you get the picture.

Our girl, Katy Perry accepted her award for best video (take note, kicking Gaga’s ass) and we quote “I was just performing outside and just want to thank you Europe, you’re the best fucking crowd ever” We get the point dearest, however the dress looked like something from Ivy in Batman. Congrats on the award hun, lovesit!

Next on our list is Rihanna and how can we explain this. She sang her hit single “Only Girl In The World” and it was dreadful. The sound was all wrong and the set design and choreography was so tedious, she could’ve stayed at home. However, we’re totally smitten with this girl and maybe she wasn’t in the mood to show off?

Flop-tastic peformance by Rihanna...my word.

The AMAZINGLY gorgeous Miley Cyrus performed her latest hit single “Who Owns My Heart” with incredible vocals whilst we can’t say the same for the lad from Plan B – what went wrong? B.O.B and Hayley Williams from Paramore performed their hit song Airplanes and earlier mess, Ke$ha probably had one of the best live performances of the evening with Tik-Tok.

Ke$ha performinng "Tik-Tok" at last night's MTV EMA Awards

Best Male award went to teen star Justin Bieber, Best Live Act to Linkin Park (another whip for Gaga) Best Hip Hop Act were awarded to Eminem, Best Rock to 30 Seconds to Mars and Best Female went to the ever amazing Lady Gaga!

Congratulations to Bon Jovi on winning the MTV Global Icon Award, well deserved!

Lady Gaga couldn’t make the show as she was in Budapest performing her Monsters Ball Tour, no wonder we were bored…yawn, no meat dresses?

Mango—Spain’s second largest exporter of fashion — and Shakira’s Barefoot Foundation are launching a small collection of solidarity T-shirts inspired by the official FIFA World Cup anthem “Waka Waka.” Profits from the sales of the “Waka Waka” T-shirt will be donated to initiatives for elementary education in South Africa. One of the schools to receive the profits is the South Africa East Observatory School, also supported by UNICEF, which cares for children who have been orphaned or displaced by civil war or by the loss of their parents to AIDS. A total of four t-shirts, two models for women and two models for men, bearing the printed slogans “Waka Waka” and “This Time for Africa,” have been exclusively designed for the occasion. The models will go on sale at all Mango stores, and via its webpage from June 10.

Shakira, who is originally from Barranquillas, Colombia, created the Barefoot Foundation to seek education and nutrition opportunities for vulnerable and displaced children in Colombia and the rest of the world, in order to produce citizens committed to peaceful co-existence. About the T-shirt initiative, she says, “The true spirit of this World Cup involves making a lasting contribution. We can add to the legacy of this historic moment a platform committed to providing quality education for the children of South Africa and to ending poverty and inequality wherever they exist.” All proceeds will be donated directly to the Barefoot Foundation, which will allocate the funds to selected schools in South Africa.

The artist considers the World Cup event as an emblem of the integration of different cultures and explained that “Waka Waka” tries to represent the African spirit.  Shakira explains, “I grew up dancing to African and Afro-Colombian rhythms in my country. I believe that we are all bound to Africa by an umbilical cord, and this song has sounds from Cameroon and sounds from the Caribbean. [. . .] It is a syncretism of many influences, all connected to Mother Africa.”

Shakira sung “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” on June 10, 2010, in Johannesburg during the official opening concert, here are the few snaps while ceremony when made the Africa Live in Soccer with Waka Waka...

Shakira will sing once more at closing ceremony of FIFA Football World Cup 2010 on July 11.

You how the game goes--two beautiful women, one gorgeous dress...cast your vote to tell us who wore it better, after the jump!

Shakira seems to have a knack for choosing the same dresses as other celebrities--remember when she and Pink showed up to the VMAs wearing the exact same Balmain number? At the recent Bambi awards, the Latin songstress opted for this black and silver Gucci dress with feathered details at the shoulders. She went with a pair of knee-high black boots, dangling earrings, and a poufy ponytail to complement the look.

Earlier this year, we saw Evan Rachel Wood wear the same dress to the Young Hollywood Awards. While her version didn't win our best dressed vote, I still think she looks pretty fabulous--it's a bit more glitzed up than Shakira's take on it, thanks to the wide waist-cinching belt, patent leather pumps, and Jimmy Choo clutch.

Time to compare and contrast, dolls! Whose version of this Gucci dress do you like better? Do you appreciate how each girl styled it in a totally different way

It takes a lot of things to be sexy: An angelic face, well-toned body, smoking hot appearance. Karolina Kurkova has it all and that's what earns her the title "The Sexiest Woman in the World!" She was named by E! entertainment television as being The Sexiest and tops the list beating some of the sexiest women in show business like her fellow Angels Giselle Bundchen, Adriana Lima and Heidi Klum!

I wonder why Megan Fox or Marisa Miller are not on the top 10 list, as they were too given a similar titles.

The Victoria's Secret model was recently ranked by Forbes a one of the world's highest paid models as well. Gorgeous and rich?! Some girls get all the luck!

Anyway, here are the remaining hotties from the complete top 10 list:

1.
Karolina Kurkova

2. Bar Rafael
3. Angelina Jolie
4. Gisele Bundchen
5. Scarlett Johansson
6. Adriana Lima
7. Heidi Klum
8. Penelope Cruz
9. Manuela Arcuri
10. Shakira
