MICAM ShoEvent, the most prestigious exhibition event dedicated to medium-high to high-level footwear, will be exhibiting the new collections for the 2008/2009 autumn/winter season from 26th to 29th February 2008, at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre.
For its first edition in 2008, the ANCI - the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers - that organises the Milan exhibition, has decided to favour week days instead of the weekend and schedule the event from Tuesday 26th February to Friday 29th February.
Indeed, in recent editions, specialists in the footwear sector have shown that they prefer to visit the MICAM exhibition on weekdays.
The new schedule is therefore intended to facilitate all visitors and, in particular, international operators who continue to increase in number.
In fact, in March 2007 there were 42,879 visitors, 2.9% more than the same edition in 2006, with foreign visitors growing by 7.7% during the same edition.
For the February 2008 edition, as for the previous editions, MICAM is presenting significant data in terms of exhibitors.
There are 74,301 net square metres available to companies, whereas there are 1,665 exhibitors, of which 1,139 Italian and 526 from abroad.
The important feedback obtained from the exhibitors depicts a very healthy and growing event, even though the choice of its organisers is not to expand its dimensions further.
Indeed, there is a long waiting list of exhibitors who wish to take part in MICAM and the development potential is significant, but the management of the ANCI has decided to maintain the stability of the exhibition space and of the exhibitors, to make the event more enjoyable to a larger number of visitors.
