There are a couple of small stories today regarding TCU, so I am going to combine them all into this one post for your convenience.
All TCU football games this season will be broadcast live in Spanish on AM 1270 Univision Radio in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
The Spanish-speaking broadcast will supplement the Horned Frogs' regular game coverage on WBAP AM 820 and 96.7 FM as well as KTCU 88.7 FM. TCU will be the only school in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to have a Spanish radio broadcast in addition to its regular game coverage.
I think this is a great move for TCU. There is such a large Hispanic population in this area, and there are no reasons not to try and tap into it. The Cowboys and Mavericks have had success with this, and I think it will help the Frogs out tremendously in the long run.
TCU Media Relations: TCU preseason All-America safety Tejay Johnson has been selected as one of 30 candidates nationally for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence community, classroom, character and competition.
According to Chris Del Conte’s “Notes on a Scorecard,” TCU has now sold 17,500 season tickets, breaking the old record of 14,490 in 2007.
