I think a lot of people have been wondering what Michael Jordan’s opinion was on LeBron James leaving Cleveland for Miami earlier this month. People have been saying that players like Magic and M.J. would never do something like that, and it looks like they were right.
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,' " Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. "But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."
I think M.J. shares the same sentiments as the rest of us. What happened to competition? What happened to wanting to prove you are the best in the league? How are you going to call yourself the “King” and the “Chosen One” but have to go and team with a guy who has already lead his team to a ring?
The more I think about it, I think LeBron made the decision to go to Miami because he thought it would take some pressure off his shoulders. In actuality, that plan backfired and now I feel he has more pressure on him than ever. If the Heat don’t win the title this season, LeBron will be crucified!
