It wouldn't be the MTV Video Music Awards if there wasn't a little trouble thrown in. This year it's because of Will.I.Am! The Black Eyed Peas singer is stirring up controversy because of his outfit choice for his VMA Pre-show performance with singer Nicki Minaj. He wore an all black head to toe outfit, including black face paint and a shiny hat to complete the ensemble.
Black-face started back in the 19th century to promote racism towards African Americans and in recent months, White models have been wearing black paint causing more debate.
