This just coming in from Baylor and 1660 ESPN Radio, the TCU/Baylor football game this season will be on Friday, September 2^nd at 7:00 on ESPN. Yes, another Friday night game…

Although this is disappointing, I expected this from Baylor. With the game being on a Friday night it makes it harder for TCU fans to make the game. The Bears don’t want their stadium taken over by TCU fans wanting to witness another beat down of Baylor. Pathetic.

**Update** Here is the release from TCU Media Relations: The TCU football team's 2011 season opener at Baylor has been moved to Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

The Horned Frogs will have two appearances on ESPN this season. An Oct. 28 contest with BYU at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington will also air on ESPN.

TCU now has three Friday games this fall. In addition to facing Baylor and BYU, the Horned Frogs will host SMU on Friday, Sept. 30. The SMU game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

The Horned Frogs return 11 starters from their Rose Bowl championship squad that went 13-0 and finished second in all the major polls. TCU also led the nation in total defense for a third straight season.

TCU is the only program in the country to finish in the top 10 in both the Associated Press and USA Today polls over the last three seasons. The Horned Frogs' average finish of 5.0 in the last three AP polls ranks first nationally.

TCU has a 25-game regular season winning streak and has won 39 of its last 42 contests overall.

Dating back to 2002, the Horned Frogs are 16-3 in their last 19 games versus teams from BCS automatic-qualifying conferences.

The 2011 campaign marks TCU's final season in the Mountain West Conference before beginning Big East Conference play in 2012.

I had a posting a couple of weeks ago titled “Why is Robert Griffin Allowed to Talk” where I pointed out all of the ridiculous and unintelligent things Mr. Griffin said about the Frogs after Baylor was stomped out 45-10 by TCU. I thought all the talking was over, but apparently Robert can’t get over the fact that TCU had their way with the Bears.

After Baylor’s win over Kansas, he had this to say on DallasNews.com:

Immediately after Baylor's 55-7 win against Kansas on Saturday, Bears QB Robert Griffin III offered this wonderful piece: "The TCU game (a 45-10 loss) was just a fluke. I was determined and the team was determined not to ever have a showing like that again.

A fluke huh?

Then, this was posted on DallasNews.com today…

Some Horned Frogs were quoted afterward saying Griffin, coming back this season from knee surgery, had lost some speed.

"I really don't understand that whole statement in general because I've never played against any of those guys," Griffin said. "How would they know if I was faster or not? That's all I'll say about that."

It seems like Mr. Griffin just can’t come to terms with being throttled by a team from the Mountain West Conference. Get over it!

If you plan on being in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area on Saturday, be advised because the traffic will most likely be terrible. If my attendance predictions are correct, there could be around 250,000 people attending sporting events in the Metroplex on Saturday. Check out the schedule...

It baffles me. You would think that after one team comes out and completely dominates another team 45-10, the losing team would show just a little bit of respect. Apparently they don’t teach respect at Baylor because Robert Griffin continues to open his mouth and spew garbage.

Let’s start with this wonderful quote from the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, "People are going to say what they're going to say out of the TCU locker room," Griffin said. "A lot of those guys were chasing me all day and they got to me a few times, and then there were a few times where they were breathing like dogs as well.”

I’m pretty sure it’s the defenses job to chase you Robert. First, you messed up the reference, what is breathing like a dog? Second, what does that matter? If you lost to a tired team 45-10, that makes your team look even worse. The Frogs didn’t have to chase you too far because you only managed 21 rushing yards. Next!!

More from the Star-Telegram, "I'm allergic to losing," Griffin said. "Some guys can laugh off losing and giggle and come in here with a good attitude."Being here for three years and putting all the work that I've put in and my teammates have put in, fighting back from ACL surgery, I didn't sign up to get beat down like that."

Hey Track Star, if you are allergic to losing then why did you sign up to go to Baylor? That’s all that football team does is lose. Next!!

As we continue on, we have this quote from the Baylor website, "Those [TCU fans] were chanting, 'Same old Baylor.' They will eat those words, but it's our job as players to go out there and make them do it."

You sure showed those fans Robert. Your awesome performance led to a total of 10 points. Keep making us eat those words. Next!!

Wait, there’s more…The Track Star had these great quotes for ESPN.com."We went into the game thinking and knowing that they didn’t have better players than we did and they weren’t more talented or confident, but it seemed like when our players got on the field we didn’t play with confidence," said quarterback Robert Griffin. "They came ready to play and they played with confidence and that was the difference in the game."

Ok, let me get this straight, the Baylor players were better and more talented than the TCU players, but the biggest difference in the game was that the Frogs had more confidence? It wasn’t that Baylor couldn’t stop the TCU offense to save their lives? It wasn’t that the Track Star can’t throw an accurate pass? This is unbelievable. Is this the nonsense Art Briles is telling his players? TCU had better players, more talent, and better coaching. That is why your team got its butt handed to them.

And finally, one more brilliant piece of insight from Griffin on ESPN.com, "Throughout the game we moved the ball when we wanted to; we just had mental mistakes here or there," Griffin said. "You can't hurt yourself like that and expect to win."

What game was this guy watching? You moved the ball when you wanted to? You only had 263 total yards!! Take away the long TD pass in the 3^rd quarter and you have a total of 210 yards. Is this guy serious?

I hope Coach Patterson is collecting all of these wonderful quotes for next season. I’m not sure if the Track Star actually believes what he said, or if he is just regurgitating nonsense Art Briles told him, but either way this is ridiculous. Baylor got destroyed and was never in the game, but yet Griffin says those things. No wonder he went to Baylor, enjoy losing, hope your allergies don’t act up.

TCU curb stomped Baylor Saturday afternoon 45-10 in front of the second-largest crowd in TCU football history. The Bears were never in the game as the Frogs scored on their first five possessions and never looked back. The Horned Frogs improved to 15-3 in its last 18 games against BCS team and are 6-2 in their last eight games against Big 12 opponents.

- Andy Dalton was spectacular. He sliced the Baylor defense with surgeon like precision. Dalton completed 21-of-23 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. He set a TCU single-game record for completion percentage (91.3). He opened the game with 11 straight completions. Nasty!

- Jeremy Kerley was no slouch either. Kerley was a key facet of the game on offense and special teams. He finished with 6 catches for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also added 49 yards rushing, and a couple of very nice punt returns. Jeremy Kerley finished the day with over 200 all-purpose yards.

- Staying on the offensive side of the ball, TCU has found their next good running back. Ed Wesley has been a beast for the Frogs all season long. Wesley had a career-high 165 yards rushing and 2 TD’s. Wesley’s 165 rushing yards marked the most for a Horned Frog since Joseph Turner totaled 226 yards in a 2007 victory at San Diego State.

- Now, onto the Track Star…Robert Griffin is the most overrated and over hyped QB in college football. The guy might be a tremendous athlete, but he isn’t a big time quarterback. The way people talk about Griffin, I was expecting to see the second coming of Mike Vick. That isn’t what I saw though. I saw an average QB at best who couldn’t run his offense and has no accuracy. All speed, nothing else.

- It seemed to me that Baylor came out with the plan to stop the run, but Dalton dink and dunked them down the field with quick screens, bubbles, and short outs. They had no answer for the TCU passing game. Hell, Baylor had no answer for anything TCU was doing. The Frogs racked up 558 yards of total offense.

- I thought the black jerseys with the black pants looked really good. Coach Patterson said it was the player’s decision to go black-on-black for this game.

- It was nice to see no turnovers or fake punts.

- TCU improved to 64-2 under head coach Gary Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.
