I really need some other sports to hurry and start back up. I dread this time of the year, every year. Nothing but baseball going on, how horrible! Here are some quick hits.
It was the largest crowd to see a soccer game in Southern California since the U.S. defeated China in the 1999 Women's World Cup final, also at the Rose Bowl, and the biggest for men's soccer since the 1984 Olympics.
Last Sunday's CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader in Arlington was played on the Cowboys Stadium artificial surface. But the new stadium is converting to natural grass for next Sunday's match.
Tri-Tex Grass this week is scheduled to install 85,000 square feet of Tifway 419 Bermuda grass, grown at a nursery in Tiago, Texas.

“The state of California filed a $22,024 lien against Austin on June 10, according to the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office. The address listed on the lien is for his former home in Malibu, which he sold last year for $2.49 million.”
