First Oregon found themselves in hot water last week, and now it seems some of the focus might be switching to Ohio State.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel was informed that several Buckeyes players were selling memorabilia more than eight months before the school claims it was made aware of the scheme, a two-month Yahoo! Sports investigation has found.

Tressel received information that players were selling items to Edward Rife – the owner of Fine Line Ink Tattoos in Columbus – as early as April 2010, according to a source. However, neither Ohio State nor the NCAA investigated the transactions or the players’ relationship with Rife until December 2010, when the school claims it was informed of the situation by the local United States Attorney’s office.

I suggest you go and read the entire report, it is pretty good. Unfortunately Ohio State will probably scoot by with a stern talking to by the NCAA. We all know the NCAA will fail to do their job once again...

I am not even going to get into my thoughts about this, because you should already know that I think this is ridiculous. I just want to post this up for everyone to read in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Even if TCU and Boise State run the table, they still don't deserve to be in the Bowl Championship Series title game, Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee said Wednesday.

In an interview with The Associated Press, the president at the university with the largest athletic program in the country said that TCU and Boise State do not face a difficult enough schedule to play in the national championship game.

"Well, I don't know enough about the Xs and Os of college football," said Gee, formerly the president at West Virginia, Colorado, Brown and Vanderbilt universities. "I do know, having been both a Southeastern Conference president and a Big Ten president, that it's like murderer's row every week for these schools. We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor. We play very fine schools on any given day.

First of all, you shouldn’t preface your statement about football with “well, I don’t know enough about the X’s and O’s of college football.” That kills all of your credibility right there. Second, little sisters of the poor? Really?....Really??? Does this guy realize Ohio State has Marshall, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Purdue, and Minnesota on their schedule?

Everyone knows how absurd these comments are, so I am going to leave it at that. Plus, I have to go to work and don’t have time to rip into this guy how I would like to. If you want to share your thoughts with Mr. E. Gorgon Gee, then here is his information below.

I heard a rumor recently, which isn’t credible at all, but I think it’s interesting to talk about. The rumor was that TCU will have a new jersey/uniform for their game against Utah. The reason behind it was that Nike is doing special jerseys for around 12 different teams for select upcoming games. Also, that TCU/Utah is a big game and Utah is with Under Armour so they wanted TCU to have something special.

Take a look at what has been released so far from some of the other Nike sponsored schools.

Florida State will be wearing this look for their game against Maryland on November 21^st. These are the best I have seen so far.

The helmets and gloves are SICK!! I love the graphite color of the helmet, and having the Seminoles logo on the palms of the hands is an awesome idea!

The University of Texas will be rocking these during their matchup with Texas A&M.

Ohio State will have these on when the Buckeyes face off against Michigan on November 21^st.

I have yet to see anything out of TCU so right now it is all speculation, but it would be nice if the Frogs took the field in something new and cool looking. We will just have to wait and see.
