As I have posted many times before, Horned Frogs continue to pop up on numerous watch lists all over the country for this upcoming 2010 season. This TCU team has been gaining an incredible amount of respect and recognition all over the country, and I am sure we will continue to hear more.

TCU quarterback Andy Dalton who is a preseason All-American and also on the watch lists for the Davey O'Brien Award, Manning Award and Johnny Unitas Award has been named one of 30 “Players to Watch” for the Walter Camp Football Foundation's 2010 Player of the Year award and was also selected to the watch list for the 2010 Maxwell Award.

From TCU Media Relations:
Dalton is the nation's leader in wins (29) by an active quarterback. His 29 victories also tie him with Slingin' Sammy Baugh (1934-36) for the most in TCU history.
Dalton, the 2009 MWC Offensive Player of the Year and an honorable-mention All-American, was eighth in the nation in passing efficiency last season with a 151.8 rating. Among active quarterbacks, he ranks third in lowest career interception percentage (2.4, 24 picks in 1,001 attempts).
Dalton has led TCU to top-10 rankings each of the last two seasons. In 2009, he guided the Horned Frogs to their first BCS appearance.
The Maxwell Award has been presented to the outstanding collegiate football player in America since 1937 and is named in honor of sportswriter Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell.

To go along with that, TCU linebacker Tank Carder has been named to the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, given to the nation's top defensive player.

From TCU Media Relations:
A preseason All-American, Carder also appears on watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Rotary Lombardi Award. The Preseason Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Carder was also tabbed the Best Linebacker in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
Carder was an All-MWC selection in his first year as a starter last season. His 89 tackles placed second on TCU behind only Daryl Washington (109) and were 19 more than the next-closest Horned Frog (Alex Ibiloye, 70).
