Here are a couple of quick TCU notes for the day…
Although the Horned Frogs are ranked among the best in the nation in college football, the TCU community witnessed true professional football Wednesday afternoon when the Dallas Cowboys practiced at the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility.
From TCU Media Relations: TCU All-America return specialist Jeremy Kerley has been named an honoree in the Paul Hornung Award's Most Versatile Performances of the Week.
Kerley totaled 196 all-purpose yards in the fourth-ranked Horned Frogs' 30-21 season-opening victory over Oregon State.
A senior from Hutto, Texas, Kerley had 147 return yards while tying a career-high with six receptions for 49 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown. Kerley had three punt returns for 42 yards. A 34-yard effort late in the second quarter set up a score which gave TCU a 21-14 halftime lead. Kerley added 125 yards on kickoff returns.
If you haven’t already gotten your tickets for the Baylor game on September 18th, you better get on that ASAP. I am hearing that there are less than 500 reserved tickets left for this game and it’s approaching a sell out very quickly.
