Monday TCU Quick Hits

After some less than flattering articles written about Gary Patterson last week, here is a great one you should check out from Dan Wetzel.

In 1997, TCU fans stormed the field when a winless season was avoided in the final game. Now 10 years into Patterson’s reign it’s a legitimate national title contender for the second consecutive season. The 50-year-old has taken a one-time dormant, doormat program and has gone 61-11 since 2005, including a current 33-3 tear. There’s even a $105 million stadium renovation set to begin next month that promises to turn ancient Amon Carter Stadium into “the Camden Yards of college football.”

Also, Andy Dalton has been named one of the semifinalists for the 2010 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.

TCU senior quarterback Andy Dalton is among 16 semifinalists for the 2010 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award, which honors the nation’s best college quarterback.

Dalton has passed for 1,635 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions this season to lead the No. 4 Horned Frogs to an 8-0 record.
