I’m tired and depressed the Mavs lost so I will just give a few quick thoughts on game 1.
- Dampier or someone is going to have to do something about Nene. You can’t let him dominate the paint like he did. He finished with 24 pts, 3 reb, and 5 assists while Damp managed 3 pts, and 5 reb. I have a feeling that Ericka will be dominated all series long.
- That was one of the worst games I have seen Jason Kidd play turnover wise. There were some bad passes by Kidd today.
- I love the Birdman. I would take him on my team any day. You can’t hate someone that hustles and plays as hard as he does.
- In the 3rd quarter it seemed the Mavs were forcing the ball into Dirk too much while others stood around.
- Even though JET finished with 15 he has to get himself involved more. I felt the Nuggets did a good job of trying to deny him the ball.
- K-Mart can’t hold Dirks jock.
I will have a post on what adjustments need to be made for the Mavs in game 2 tomorrow.
