The Frogs recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 1955 as they blanked Wyoming 45-0 at Amon Carter Stadium this afternoon. There are a lot of positives and one glaring negative, lets break it down!

- I hate to start out with the negative first, but I have to. HEY TCU STUDENTS, WHERE ARE YOU???? That was embarrassing and pathetic today. It was the worst turnout from the students as I can remember. I don’t care that you are on fall break, get it together!!!

- Andy Dalton played another excellent game. (I called him being the offensive player of the game.) This was probably his second best performance of the season coming in slightly behind the Baylor game. Dalton finished with a season high 270 yards passing, completing 14 of 17 attempts and three touchdowns. In three home games this season, Dalton is now 50-of-61 for 719 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions.

- Major props to the passing game all around today. Dalton made the right decisions, the deep ball was thrown with accuracy, and the receivers made big plays. TCU’s 15 pass completions were spread among 10 different receivers.

- The defense looks to finally be hitting on all cylinders. A couple of weeks ago Coach Patterson said his guys were “learning to hunt together” and that is totally true. For the second straight week, the Horned Frogs held an opponent under 200 yards in total offense and now has two shutouts in a season for the first time since 2007. The Frogs current streak of holding its opponent scoreless has now reached 131:24 over the last three games.

- Tyler Luttrell’s fourth quarter interception was CLUTCH! It preserved the shutout and it’s nice to see him back from his injury and making plays. On the bad side, Luttrell’s interception snapped a streak of four consecutive TCU picks that had been returned for touchdowns.

All in all, it was a good game. The Frogs got the win, got the shutout, and remain undefeated on the season. I CAN’T WAIT for BYU next Saturday at The Carter. It is going to be NASTY!

GO FROGS!!!

I would like to apologize to our defense. I undersold them today. I predicted 45-3, but Wyoming couldn’t even manage 3 points. Great job defense!!!
