I Love This Game!

How crazy is the Western Conference right now? 2 days left in the regular season and the only thing we know is that the Lakers will be the #1 seed. People always say the regular season in the NBA doesn’t matter, but it has sure mattered the last few seasons in the Western Conference.

- Denver has a 1 game lead over 3 teams tied for third, but there could be a 4 way tie at 54-28 if Portland beats Denver, San Antonio beats New Orleans, and Houston beats Dallas.

- The Southwest Division still hasn’t been decided. If Houston beats Dallas I believe they win the division. If Dallas beats Houston and San Antonio beats New Orleans then the Spurs win the division.

- The Mavs could still finish anywhere from 6th-8th depending on the outcome of their game with Houston, and New Orleans @ San Antonio, and Utah@ L.A. Lakers.

- Utah plays at the Lakers tonight so the Mavs will know if they have 7th place locked up or not by the time they step on the court Wednesday.

- The Lakers are the only team that can afford to rest players, but as I recall a certain Mavs team did that in 06-07 and were eliminated in the first round…Be careful what you wish for is all I am saying.

What more could NBA fans ask for? Every game down the stretch has had an impact and playoff seedings won’t be finalized until all games are over late Wednesday night. I'm just amazed that 7 of the 8 teams in the playoffs all have something to play for on the 82nd game of the season. It is GREATNESS!!

Another note, Mavs have the day off today but I will be at shoot around on Wednesday and promise to have all the latest audio plus a practice report for you. Angry Trey and Dallasbaketball.com will have you set for another "biggest game of the season" for the Mavericks.

P.S. this is my 101st post of pure entertainment on this blog.
