Chelsea/Barcelona

Barca is the only non-English club left in the last four of Europe's top club competition for the second year in a row. The 2006 champions lost 1-0 on aggregate to eventual winners Manchester United in last year's semi-finals.

The subject of how to stop Messi has dominated the pre-match build-up following the suspension of England left-back Ashley Cole.

It has left Chelsea without a recognized replacement following the sale of Wayne Bridge to Manchester City in January and an untimely knee ligament injury to Paulo Ferreira.

Manchester United/Arsenal

“One of the greatest and most intense rivalries of the last decade will resume with a vengeance as Manchester United will do battle with Arsenal in the Semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.” –Soccer Lense-

Arsenal has been playing better as of late, despite the fact that they haven’t been serious Premiership contenders all year. They’re riding a 20-match unbeaten streak in the Premiership which is their longest in a while.

Man U has been in a slump as of late but has been playing somewhat better. The scored 3 goals in 5 minutes on Saturday to come back against Tottenham, but has only 1 clean sheet in their last seven matches.
