This is pretty bad news for Blues fans. Chelsea has a very solid squad right now and is the favorites to take the EPL title this season, but they are an older team. This is not good for them and will certainly have an effect on the club.
FIFA have banned Chelsea from registering players for the next two transfer windows, meaning they will not be able to make any new signings until January 2011, after being found guilty of inducing French teenager Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with Lens.
- This is truly some shocking news. Banned for 2 years from signing players, and I agree, whoever was responsible for handling the transfer needs the flick. Obviously Kakuta is an incredibly talented youngster but was he worth this punishment?
I hope that this punishment could be reduced to just one transfer window, which would be a lot better, as we will definately need new players next summer. Its funny how the ban is just for us bringing players to the club, and not also to stop us selling players. Which would make more sense as it would stop us from using the transfer market full stop.
