With the Frogs being off this week, TCU has to do something to keep themselves in the minds of the voters. That is why Gary Patterson is making a trip to Bristol, Connecticut on Friday. Coach Patterson will be making the rounds on all the ESPN TV and radio shows.
Gary Patterson's menu for Friday is already set:
Breakfast with Mike and Mike.
Brunch and BCS talk with Colin Cowherd.
Lunch with the erudite Scott Van Pelt.
Dinner with the SportsCenter gang.
ESPN calls it the "Car Wash," a thorough scrubbing and rinsing from all of its prominent TV and radio hosts.
Prominent visitors -- and often football coaches whose teams have an off week -- go through it at the network's Bristol, Conn., headquarters all the time.
Let's be clear about one thing, though, Patterson wants everyone to know: ESPN invited the TCU coach. Not the other way around.
