A lot of times lineman don’t get the credit they deserve so I thought I should take some time out to appreciate what this Horned Frog o-line has done this season.
This could be one of the best and biggest offensive lines the Frogs have had in recent history and not everyone has been healthy the entire season. The average weight across the line is 310 pounds and it has been the anchor of the 10th ranked rushing offense in the country. This group is only 12 yards away from producing the first TCU 1,000 yard rusher since Robert Merrill in 2003. Ed Wesley sits at 988 yards for the season, and if he plays on Saturday, should accomplish that feat fairly easy.
Not only has the TCU o-line dominated the line of scrimmage on rushing plays, they have kept the QB clean as well. The Frogs have only allowed 5 sacks all season, while allowing Andy Dalton to throw for 19 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions thus far.
One last thing, CBS-College showed this graphic during the Utah game last Saturday. This shows how powerful this group really is.
