The 97th Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio is right around the corner now and both teams will start to put the finishing touches on their game plan. Most of the talk to this point has been about the size of Wisconsin and their offense versus the TCU defense. I would like to bring attention to a matchup that isn’t getting a lot of consideration. How will the Wisconsin defense matchup with the TCU offense?

People are failing to realize that the TCU offense is just as, if not more potent than the Wisconsin offense. The Frogs average the same amount of points per game (43.3), and rank higher in rushing and passing yards per game than the Badgers.

The Wisconsin defense is ranked 31st in the nation against the run giving up 131.7 yards per game. The TCU rushing attack is ranked 7th averaging 261.2 yards per game on the ground. That matchup clearly favors the Frogs.

The Badgers have only faced two teams this season ranked in the top 20 of rushing yards per game. Why is nobody talking about the high powered TCU offense that averages over 40 points per game going up against a Wisconsin defense that is giving up 20 points a game? If those roles were reversed, I guarantee you it would be getting more attention.

I think you will see the TCU offense move the ball effectively on the ground and through the air against the Badgers on Saturday.
