This week’s Random Mav of the Week doesn’t really fall into my rules. I like to go with players people sometimes forget about or who weren’t stars. This guy is a five time NBA Champion and two time All-Star but only had a short stint here in Dallas. He also grew up in South Oak Cliff and worked at D/FW Airport as a janitor. Sometimes people forget this guy played for the Mavs.

This week’s RANDOM MAV OF THE WEEK is…

Dennis Rodman

Rodman by far is my all time favorite NBA player. He was so entertaining and you never really knew when he was going to blow up. If you ever get the chance to read any of his books, do it! All 3 of them are very good.

The Worm appeared in 12 games for Dallas in the 99-00 season averaging 2.8 points per game and 14.3 rebounds per game. Although it was a failed experiment for the Mavs, I was glad they tried it out because I got the chance to see him play.
