This according to the Orlando Sentinel:

An NBA source has told the Orlando Sentinel that the Orlando Magic will match the five-year, $34-million offer sheet extended by the Dallas Mavericks to Marcin Gortat and thus retain him. The team would not be able to trade him until Dec. 15, at the earliest, if that's what the team wants to do.

From that report and the other people I have talked to, it looks like Orlando will indeed match the Mavs offer to retain Gortat.

This is terrible. The Mavs let Orlando in on the Marion trade to save money, plus lose Bass to the Magic and now they turn around and screw Dallas by matching the offer. Note to Donne and Cuban…never deal with the Orlando Magic ever again!!! This is ridiculous.

Now, what will be “Plan B.” Please tell me there is a plan B…
