TCU's Matt Lewis has received the 2010 Glenn Sharp Award, recognizing the National Equipment Manager of the Year by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).

Since 1978, the Glenn Sharp Award is presented each year to an equipment manager who is recognized for his/her outstanding work, dedication and involvement in the AEMA.

Lewis will be honored at the AEMA national convention June 6-10 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Lewis was presented the game ball following TCU's 55-28 victory over Utah last season. He was instrumental in the design and development of the Nike Pro Combat uniforms debuted by the Horned Frogs that night.

A native of Scott Depot, W.Va., Lewis is in his eighth year at TCU. His duties include outfitting student-athletes and the inventory and requisitioning of various Horned Frog athletics equipment.

Lewis came to the Horned Frogs after serving as the head equipment manager at Iowa State. He is a 1996 graduate of Marshall, where he was also the head equipment manager for the Thundering Herd football program.
