The NFL playoffs get underway today and it is always a great time of the year. All the college bowl games are wrapped up and now it is time for the professionals to show what they have. Cowboys are still in search for their first playoff win in FOREVER. Here are my predictions…

Before the season began I picked the Chargers and Eagles to meet in the Super Bowl. I still feel pretty confident about that pick. San Diego is playing great and Philadelphia is a solid team, but I just don’t know if I still see the Eagles making the Super Bowl. The Cowboys are playing a lot better than I had imagined and it actually seems they got their stuff together at the right time.

Jets @ Bengals

I know the Jets destroyed them last week, but it was pretty much a meaningless game for Cincinnati. I have been high on the Bengals all season and I think they pull this one out. You just can’t trust Mark Sanchez as a QB yet. He has had some good games this season, but has also been terrible in a few of them. The Bengals defense will get after Sanchez, cause a turnover or two, and the Bengals win this game.

Eagles @ Cowboys

I don’t think it will be a 24-0 shutout like we saw last weekend, but I think the Cowboys still take down the Eagles. This is the best this team has been playing at the end of the season that I can remember in recent memory. Plus, this game is at Cowboys Stadium which gives Dallas the slight advantage.

Ravens @ Patriots

This is a tough game to pick. I would normally just go with the Patriots but New England will be without Wes Welker who is a HUGE part of their offense. Plus this game is in New England. I really like what Baltimore brings to the table though. Their defense is always tough, have a nice young QB, and Ray Rice has been tremendous this season. I think the Patriots pull out a three point win over Baltimore in the final minutes.

Packers @ Cardinals

This isn’t the same Cardinals team we saw last year when they went on their run to the Super Bowl. The team is a lot more banged up at this point, and I just don’t see it happening two years in a row. The Packers have been solid all season and could be VERY dangerous in these playoffs. Green Bay has already beaten Arizona twice this year and the third time will be a charm. Give me the Packers over the Cardinals.
