It is on this afternoon in Mexico City!!! The United States will face off against Mexico in a fairly important World Cup qualifier. The U.S. is obviously trying to revenge their 5-0 loss at the hands of Mexico a few weeks back in the Gold Cup Final, and Mexico is looking to move up in the group standings.

The top 3 teams advance from the group, and Mexico is currently on the outside looking in at the 4th spot, while the Americans sit pretty comfortably in 2nd.

Here is the problem though…The match takes place in Mexico at Estadio Azteca where the U.S. has NEVER won. It is a 105,000 seat monster that could arguably be named the best soccer stadium in North America. The pressure is solely on Mexico, so we will see how they respond. All I know is, that it should be a great match.

Finding this game on TV might be a challenge for some of you. I don’t know of any English speaking channel that is picking this up, so you might have to watch it in Spanish. The game is at 3:00 central on Mun2. At my house, I found it on channel 10, which is a local Spanish station. ESPN will have a special pregame show at 2:30 central time.

My prediction: U.S. takes this one 2-1. Hopefully Altidore will net one today.

Go U-S-A!!!!!

BallHype: hype it up!
