From TCU Media Relations: The Mountain West Conference has announced the dates of TCU's seven league contests for the 2011 season.
TCU will open its seventh and final year in the MWC when it travels to Air Force on Sept. 10. It will be the Horned Frogs' second game of the 2011 campaign. TCU is at Baylor in the Sept. 3 season opener. It will be the first time since 2005 that the Horned Frogs have opened with two road games.
Following non-conference home dates with Louisiana-Monroe (Sept. 17), Portland State (Sept. 24) and SMU (Oct. 1), TCU will return to league play Oct. 8 with a trip to San Diego State.
After the first of two open dates on Oct. 15, TCU will host New Mexico Oct. 22 before a Friday, Oct. 28, contest with former MWC-rival BYU at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The BYU game will be televised on ESPN2.
TCU will then have back-to-back road games at Wyoming (Nov. 5) and MWC newcomer Boise State (Nov. 12).
The Horned Frogs close the regular season with home contests versus Colorado State (Nov. 19) and UNLV (Dec. 3).
TCU will have its second open date of the season on Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 26). Kickoff times and television plans for TCU's seven MWC games will be announced at a later date.
