The entire 2011 TCU football schedule has been released, now it’s time to break it down.
- The Frogs have two of their toughest road tests right off the bat. Baylor is Baylor, but Air Force always plays TCU tight in Colorado Springs. At least the weather shouldn’t be too bad. Hopefully this young TCU team will be ready to go.
- Outside of the San Diego State and New Mexico games, the Frogs either have back to back home games or back to back away games.
- It will be tough traveling to Wyoming then flying back to Ft. Worth to turn around and fly to Boise. I’m sure Wyoming and Idaho are just lovely in November.
- Bye weeks before New Mexico and UNLV do not really help much.
- All games are on Saturday except for the matchup with BYU which is on a Friday. You can thank the awesome BYU TV deal for that one.
- Kickoff times and television plans for TCU's seven MWC games will be announced at a later date.
- Not alot of high profile home games. It doesn't look like College Gameday will be returning to Ft. Worth in 2011.
The move to the Big East cannot come soon enough. As of right now, I think the Frogs go 10-2. My opinion could change though, the team starts spring practice tomorrow. TCU won’t be as depleted this season as everyone thinks. I am disappointed with this schedule, but there is nothing I can do about it.
