As you may be aware, the TCU football team on Saturday will wear new Nike Pro Combat uniforms, providing some key innovations as well as Horned Frog inspiration to the players. This uniform is 25 percent lighter than current designs--the lightest Nike has ever created--and is designed to address the evolution of the game seen in stronger and faster players, and more violent and explosive collisions.



Plus, the look and direction of TCU's new system of dress features university history and lore -- from the 'Don't Back Down' mantra, to a horned frog skin print and red lines on the helmet to represent the blood that shoots from a horned frog's eyes when under attack.
